Winter preparation status for road machinery being verified
Preparations for the upcoming winter season are in full swing in Kazakhstan, with a focus on enhancing road safety and creating comfortable conditions for drivers and passengers.
Over 4,900 individuals are involved in winter road maintenance works across 95 road maintenance units, 102 road points, and 5 linear production departments. The teams are assessing the condition, serviceability, and readiness of snow-clearing equipment for low temperatures, heavy snowfall, and ice.
The procurement of essential supplies has begun. Around 64,000 tons of technical salt, over 89,500 cubic meters of sand, and close to 160,000 cubic meters of screenings are planned to be stockpiled for winter. These materials will be used to maintain road safety and ensure smooth travel during the winter months.
In addition, a total of 1,775 units of specialized equipment are allocated for winter maintenance of republican roads in Kazakhstan. Particular attention will be given to servicing 2,700 kilometers of snow-prone sections of republican roads.
The aim of these preparations is threefold: to enhance road safety, create comfortable conditions for drivers and passengers, and reduce accident rates. The inspections of road maintenance units' readiness for winter are ongoing in Kazakhstan's regions, with the goal of completing them by September 25.
However, it should be noted that the search results do not provide information on the name of the personnel responsible for winter road maintenance in the specified locations. Despite this gap, the dedication and hard work of the teams involved are evident in the extensive preparations underway.
As winter approaches, Kazakhstan is taking proactive steps to ensure that its roads remain safe and passable, making travel during the colder months more comfortable and reliable for all.
