Venture Capital Expansion at Flat6Labs: Announcing F6 Group and the Creation of F6 Ventures, the Latest Arm of Flat6Labs for Investments

In a significant move, F6 Group, a new entity integrating venture capital and entrepreneurial support, has announced its ambitious plans to become a market leader in seed-stage investing across the emerging ecosystems of the Middle East and Africa.

Led by CEO Dina el-Shenoufy and Founder and Chairman Hany Al Sonbaty, F6 Group operates under a unified structure. Ramez El-Serafy, Co-Founder and General Partner, is also part of the leadership team that brings decades of experience in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and market development across the region.

The new entity consists of two arms: F6 Ventures and Flat6Labs. F6 Ventures, the seed-stage investment firm under F6 Group, focuses on seed and early-stage investments across the Middle East and Africa. The aim is to address critical funding gaps for founders in emerging markets.

F6 Ventures currently manages six funds with over $90 million in assets under management (AUM) and plans to expand AUM to $200 million within five years while investing in more than 200 startups.

Key expansion plans include deepening the footprint in high-growth markets across Africa, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the Levant region. The entity plans to launch several new regional funds targeting these key regions with specialized mandates to identify and scale market leaders.

Sector leadership is also a focus, with F6 Ventures aiming to establish itself as a leader in competitive industries such as fintech, climate tech, health tech, logistics, EdTech, GreenTech, and AgriTech. The firm remains flexible to founder-driven innovations.

A flagship Africa Seed Fund, targeting $85-100 million, is planned. This fund will invest $150,000 to $500,000 tickets in over 160 early-stage startups across North, West, and East Africa. Egypt is a priority market expected to receive nearly half of the capital deployed.

Cross-border connectivity for portfolio companies and addressing follow-on funding to ensure promising startups are not capital-starved during scale-up phases are also part of F6 Ventures' strategy.

To support regional reach and operations, offices are established in Cairo, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Tunis, and Nairobi.

Yehia Houry has been appointed as the CEO of Flat6Labs, which sharpens its focus on founder support, innovation, and ecosystem growth across emerging markets.

Eyad Albayouk, Ryaan Sharif, Rasha Manna, Walid Triki, and Christine Namara are the regional partners of F6 Ventures, working tirelessly to fuel startup innovation and growth.

F6 Ventures marks a new era in the company's journey, bringing focused capital and sharper execution to support the region's boldest founders. The firm aims to back visionary founders, scale tech-driven innovation, and create lasting value for stakeholders.

In summary, F6 Ventures, through its unified structure with Dina el-Shenoufy as CEO and Hany Al Sonbaty as Founder and Chairman, aims to become a market leader in seed-stage investing in the emerging Middle East and African ecosystems, combining capital, accelerator support (via Flat6Labs), and strategic regional expansion to fuel startup innovation and growth.
