US Market Imports Kazakh Wheat Products
QazTrade, the export development operator under the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, is making significant strides in promoting Kazakhstan's national products in the US market. The company's CEO, Aitmuhammed Aldazharov, has announced that exports are not limited to flour, with negotiations underway to expand supplies of wheat flour to restaurants, coffee shops, and regional food chains.
The wheat flour, marketed under the brand name Eurasian Legacy, is currently being supplied to the United States. The first shipment of 50 tons was sent to New York, and monthly shipments, expected to exceed 100 tons, are being supported by QazTrade. The retail price for a 1.36-kilogram package of the wheat flour stands at $14.50.
The packaging for the wheat flour specifies that it is a Product of Kazakhstan, promoting the Made in Kazakhstan brand. The packaging's emphasis on quality and environmental friendliness has contributed to Kazakhstan's recognition as a supplier of high-quality and environmentally friendly products.
Partners in New York, Chicago, and Washington are assessing the quality of these additional products. However, specific partners, as well as the availability of the wheat flour on Amazon, Walmart, or bakeries in the US, were not provided in the search results.
QazTrade has already introduced several products such as buckwheat, granola, talkan, chocolate, and cocoa to the US market. The company plans to enter major US retailers such as Costco, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's in the near future.
Organizing a business mission for Kazakh producers to US cities is the next step in QazTrade's strategy. This move aims to further increase the visibility and accessibility of Kazakh products in the US market. The export of wheat flour is just the beginning of a larger initiative to promote Kazakhstan's national products in the United States.
