Trimac Expands U.S. Chemical Network with STC Acquisition
Trimac Transportation has expanded its U.S. chemical transportation network with the acquisition of Houston-based Service Transport Company (STC). The deal, announced recently, adds a fleet of approximately 290 tractors and 750 trailers operating out of 16 locations across the Gulf Coast to Trimac's existing operations.
STC specializes in transporting liquids and chemical compounds for local chemical producers. The company's safety, reliability, and customer service were praised by Trimac president and CEO Matt Faure. This acquisition follows Trimac's earlier purchases of Searcy Trucking and Watt & Stewart, both flatbed carriers. With this addition, Trimac operates over 140 locations in the U.S. and Canada, employing a team of 3,400.
