Tram service disruption in Halle-Neustadt duration extended in its entirety

In Halle-Neustadt, there are some significant changes coming to the tram and bus services due to ongoing construction work. Here's a breakdown of what to expect:

Tram Service Disruptions

From August 1st to August 10th, 2025, the tram service at the "Schwimmbad" stop in Halle-Neustadt will be completely suspended. This full closure of the tram line has been extended until August 10th, with normal service expected to resume after the school start following this date.

During this period, alternative bus services and replacement transit options will be provided to accommodate passengers. However, specific details for substitute bus lines or changed bus schedules for Halle-Neustadt during these exact dates are not currently available. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it is advisable to check the official HAVAG or SWH websites or local transit communication channels.

Temporary Tram Rerouting

Tram line 16 is currently rerouted via "Joliot-Curie-Platz" and "Am Steintor" to "Friesenstraße". However, this rerouting will no longer be in effect after August 10th, 2025.

Tram Service Resumption

Starting Monday, August 11th, 2025 (school start), trams will resume regular service to the end stops "Göttinger Bogen" and "Soltauer Straße" in Neustadt. During this period, some remaining work will still be carried out until the end of August.

Temporary Tram End Stops

From now until August 10th, 2025, tram lines 2, 9, and 10 will temporarily end at "S-Bahnhof Neustadt". After August 10th, these lines will resume service to their regular end stops.

Bus Service Changes

During the construction period, bus line 42 will serve the connection between "Schwimmbad" and "Am Bruchsee". Bus line 21 will end at "S-Bahnhof Neustadt" instead of "Am Bruchsee" until August 10th, 2025. After this date, bus line 21 will resume its regular service.

A replacement bus service (SEV 2) is currently in operation between "Soltauer Straße", "Göttinger Bogen", and "S-Bahnhof Neustadt". This service will no longer be in operation after August 10th, 2025. Replacement buses will depart from the bus stop "S-Bahnhof Neustadt" (platform D) and ensure connection between "Göttinger Bogen" and "Soltauer Straße".

Until the end of August, the existing traffic restrictions for individual traffic will also remain in place in Neustadt. Cars can still pass the construction site in one lane.

It's important to note that these changes are subject to the progress of the construction work, and any updates will be communicated through official channels. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it is advisable to check the official HAVAG or SWH websites or local transit communication channels.

The temporary suspension of the tram service at the "Schwimmbad" stop in Halle-Neustadt is expected to impact the transportation industry, as passengers will need to seek alternative means to finance their commuting needs during this period. The changes in bus services, such as the rerouting of line 42 and the temporary end of line 21 at "S-Bahnhof Neustadt", are part of the public-transit adjustments being made to accommodate the ongoing construction work.
