TMF Group Appoints Ireland Funds Chief Executive Officer
In a significant move, TMF Group has announced the appointment of Lorraine Rooney as the Chief Executive Officer of its Irish fund management arm. Rooney, who previously held the positions of general counsel and head of product at TMF Fund Management, will now be responsible for leading TMF Group's fund management strategies and services.
Rooney's extensive experience in the financial sector makes her an ideal choice for the role. She has worked as a funds lawyer and associate for law firm Decherts in its Dublin office, and has also held positions as a compliance officer for State Street and Carne Group. Prior to her appointment, Rooney was the head of operations at TMF Group's Irish fiduciary business.
Before joining TMF Group, Rooney gained valuable experience working as general counsel for MUFG Investor Services and Axa Life Europe. Her impressive career trajectory continued in October 2023 when TMF Fund Management was acquired by TMF Group.
It's worth noting that TMF Group has recently introduced ESG administration services, further expanding its offerings in the financial sector.
Rooney will report to James Coughlan, TMF Group's market head for British Isles and Ireland. Based in Dublin, Rooney will oversee TMF Group's fund management operations in Ireland.
