THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2025 Kicks Off in Bangkok with Record Participation as Government Pursues 'Thai Kitchen to the World' Initiative

In a bid to cement Thailand's position as a global food powerhouse, the five-day business spectacle, THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2025, commenced at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. With over 3,200 companies from 57 countries participating, the trade show marks the largest edition of Asia's foremost food and beverage trade exhibition.

The event, spanning from May 27 to May 31, attracts over 90,000 trade visitors from 140 countries, anticipating trade values surpassing 98 billion baht in immediate and follow-up orders within a year. Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan presided over the opening ceremony, highlighting the government's ambition to transform Thailand into a world-renowned food destination—not just a kitchen but a reliable global food reserve capable of meeting international food security needs.

Thailand's impressive credentials in the food sector—ranging from the diversity of raw materials and natural resources to its unique food culture—have cemented its status as the 12th largest food exporter worldwide, with projected export values of 1.75 trillion baht for 2025, marking a 6.8% increase from the previous year.

To highlight Thailand's traditional products, the Department of Intellectual Property showcases 30 Geographical Indication (GI) products from 25 provinces, featuring premium specialties such as Bang Pae prawns, Phon Yang Kham beef, Ban Phaeo aromatic coconuts, and Sri Saket volcano durian. Celebrity chefs graced the event, creating innovative dishes using these GI ingredients, giving visitors an educational and gastronomic experience.

Leading Thai food conglomerate, CPF, showcases its "Sustainovation" concept, blending quality, sustainability, innovation, and taste under the 'Kitchen of the World' theme. The company's latest innovation, the "Boucher Soup Sausage," won the THAIFEX Taste Innovation Show Winner 2025 award for its unique concept of a dense meat sausage filled with pork bone broth.

Thai Beverage Public Company capitalizes on the platform to demonstrate its credentials as a stable and sustainable ASEAN leader in the beverage and food sectors, showcasing products from its four business segments and seeking international partnerships to expand its global footprint.

Other domestic players, like TCP Group, Saha Farms, and EKA Global, leverage the platform to showcase their innovations and expansion strategies. The Norwegian Seafood Council, leading the world in seafood exports, also participates in the event, underscoring the global reach of this business showcase.

Beyond product showcases, the event comprises specialized exhibitions, seminars, and curated activities offering insights into evolving food trends and consumer demands, supporting both immediate business opportunities and long-term industry development.
