Tether's Q1 2025 Report Shows Strong Growth and Strategic Investments
Tether, the company behind the popular stablecoin USD₮, has published its Q1 2025 attestation report, revealing significant growth and strategic investments. The report, independently completed by BDO, confirms the accuracy of Tether's financial figures and reserves. Yahoo Finance reports that Tether's total assets reached $149,274,515,988 by March 31, 2025, with total liabilities at $143,682,673,588. This indicates a healthy surplus, excluding proprietary investments from USD₮ reserve backing. The report highlights a 13% growth in new USD₮ wallets, with an estimated 46 million created in Q1 2025. This increase corresponds to a $7 billion rise in circulating supply. Yahoo Finance also notes that Tether's exposure to U.S. Treasuries also grew, nearing an all-time high of $120 billion. Tether generated over $1 billion in operating profits from traditional investments during the quarter. The company has also allocated over $2 billion to long-term strategic investments in sectors such as renewable energy and artificial intelligence. Despite these investments, the search for specific institutions investing more than $2 billion through the Tether Investments Division in targeted sectors yielded no results. Tether's Q1 2025 report demonstrates strong financial performance and growth in USD₮ adoption. The company's strategic investments in renewable energy and AI, along with its significant exposure to U.S. Treasuries, signal a diversified portfolio. With over $149 billion in total assets, Tether continues to maintain a robust financial position.
