Telefonica Germany CEO Markus Haas to Step Down, New Strategy Awaits
Telefonica Germany is set to undergo significant changes at the top. The company has confirmed it is searching for a successor to Markus Haas as CEO, with the current head reportedly facing dismissal. Meanwhile, board member Alfons Lösing is also expected to be replaced.
The search for Haas' successor is being handled by a headhunter, with no specific candidate currently known. Once appointed, the new CEO will work alongside Haas until a suitable replacement is found and approved by the supervisory board. This process is expected to be completed by early November, coinciding with the presentation of a new group strategy by incoming CEO Marc Murtra.
Significant strategic changes are planned for o2-Telefonica under Murtra's leadership. Meanwhile, Joerg Kablitz, previously with PayPal, has been named as Lösing's successor in the third-party relations role.
Telefonica Germany is preparing for a major personnel reshuffle, with changes at the top expected to be finalized by early November. The new strategy for the group will be presented around the same time, signaling a news today for the company under the leadership of Marc Murtra.
