TAQA Boosts Global Water Platform with $1.2B Acquisition of GS Inima

TAQA, a leading international utility, has bolstered its position with a significant acquisition. The company has purchased GS Inima, a subsidiary of GS Engineering & Construction, for $1.2 billion. This deal, advised by prominent law firms, marks a strategic move for TAQA to expand its global water platform.

GS Inima, specializing in water treatment and desalination, operates around 50 active projects across ten countries. The acquisition provides TAQA immediate access to high-growth markets in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. This is a key step in TAQA's strategy to build a world-class, integrated global water platform.

The deal was advised by White & Case, with partners Katarzyna Czapracka and Farhad Jalinous handling antitrust and CFIUS aspects for TAQA. Dentons and White & Case also advised TAQA on the acquisition. K&L Gates represented the seller, GS Engineering & Construction.

TAQA's acquisition of GS Inima for $1.2 billion reinforces its leading position in the international utility sector. The deal, facilitated by top law firms, opens doors to high-growth markets and strengthens TAQA's global water platform.
