Strategy Boosts Bitcoin Holdings by $1.34B, Yield Jumps to 15.5% YTD

Between May 4 and May 11, 2025, 'Strategy', previously known as MicroStrategy, made a significant purchase, adding 13,390 Bitcoins (BTC) to its portfolio. This acquisition, worth approximately $1.34 billion, has increased the company's Bitcoin price substantially.

Over the past five years, Microsoft's stock has seen an annual return of 18%, while Bitcoin has returned a staggering 62% annually. This impressive performance has led Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy, to advise tech companies to consider investing in Bitcoin instead of conducting stock buybacks.

The recent purchase has not only boosted Strategy's Bitcoin price but also increased its yield from 14.0% to 15.5% year-to-date (YTD) in just one week. With this addition, Strategy now holds a total of 568,840 BTC, valued at approximately $39.41 billion.
