Emmanuel Macron's Wax Figure Nabbed in Greenpeace Protest: A Dig at France's Business with Russia

Stolen Wax Figure of Macron: Demonstration Targeting Russian Businesses - Stolen Statue of Macron's Wax figure: Demonstration against Russian Business Affiliates

Get this: Three sneaky individuals, allegedly Greenpeace activists, pilfered French President Emmanuel Macron's statue from the Musée Grévin! These cunning ne'er-do-wells posed as tourists, then switched gears, cloaking themselves as museum workers, and managed to smuggle the priceless wax figure through an emergency exit wrapped up in a blanket, accordind to police reports. The statue of the president is valued around 40,000 euros.

The slimy culprits contacted the museum, promising to return the Macron figurine unscathed in no time, as indicated by a museum spokesperson.

In a nutshell, Greenpeace is none too happy about France's continued partnership with Russia, such as the import of fertilizers. Jean-François Julliard, the general director of Greenpeace France, vocalized their sentiment, stating, "Macron is playing a double game. On one hand, he supports Ukraine, but on the other, he is egging on French companies to maintain business with Russia."

Yep, French fertilizer manufacturers report the EU sources a whopping 80% of its fertilizers from Russia. The EU is planning on slapping tariffs on Russian fertilizer imports to curtails this. But, hey, as European farmers call for reduced tariffs on fertilizers from other countries, this situation just got more slippery than a greased pig!

Wax figures of French politicians mysteriously disappearing from Musée Grévin? Seen it before. Back in 1983, the then Paris mayor Jacques Chirac's wax figure turned up— Literally!—at the zoo.
