Get ready, Moscow, because RusHydro is packing up and moving to Siberia, specifically to Kransoyarsk, starting in July! While you'll continue to work in the new office on Theatre Square, you'll be living in a neighbourhood near the railway station on Ul. Bograd and in the village of Udachny on the banks of the Enisei.
The news comes from a report by TASS.
"RusHydro is shifting to Kransoyarsk from July," the agency stated, and the company itself confirmed this information for journalists.
Let's refresh your memory– the initial plan was to conclude the move by the end of 2024. However, with all the ongoing renovations, they fell short of the deadline. So, the first test workweek, according to RusHydro CEO Victor Khmarin, occurred in April.
The entire management team will get used to their new digs in the Siberian hinterland by the end of 2025.
You might recall that for several years now, RusHydro has been preparing apartments and an office for the shift. The accommodations are fully furnished with furniture and household appliances, the garden of the building on Bograd features a landscape design, while the office next to the opera theatre boasts a modern interior, a helipad for quick communication with Udachny village, and even a unique interior touch - an aquarium housing sharks and rays.
RusHydro's move to Siberia comes by the Russian President's initiative. This way, the company will be closer to its core assets, like the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydroelectric Power Station, among others.
