Start-up "Quickly" secures victory in final presentation for their program titled "accelerate_rkn"
The Rhein-Kreis Neuss' Innovation Circle strategy, a collaborative network designed to foster innovation, recently held the final round of its "accelerate_rkn" circle funding program at the Innovation Center on the Boehler site in Buederich. The event, attended by 80 individuals, saw the victory of Quickly, a startup offering frozen, pre-shaped cookie dough for home baking.
Quickly's business model is built on the insight that there are no cookie options in the freezer sections of German supermarkets. The company's innovative approach to baking solutions has set it apart from competitors, as evidenced by its win in the "accelerate_rkn" program.
The "accelerate_rkn" program is a key component of the Innovation Circle strategy, which aims to establish startups along the Rhine, Erft, and Gillbach rivers. The program provides support for founders in developing their startups, focusing on defining target groups, understanding their needs, conducting market and competitive analysis, and creating a sustainable business model.
In addition to the cash prize, the program offers a range of benefits to its participants. These include workshops, lectures, and office hours on topics like sales, marketing, law, and finance, as well as access to collaborative spaces and innovation hubs enabling networking and idea exchange. The program also facilitates partnerships with local businesses and institutions for pilot projects or market access, and supports talent acquisition and development through workshops and training programs.
The other finalists in the "accelerate_rkn" program were Koavie and Vidakafe, both from Meerbusch. Koavie is a health app designed to support women going through menopause, while Vidakafe rethinks coffee as a healthy routine, offering "Specialty Coffee" enriched with vitamins and nutrients.
The jury for the final round included Peter Hornik (Digihub Düsseldorf), Ruth Julicher (Sparkasse Neuss), Elisabeth Schloten (Kiotera), Joel Selzener, and Esad Alper (MaleUp).
