Hammons Field, the 6,750-seat minor league baseball stadium that serves as the Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, has undergone a significant audio system overhaul. The project, which took place during the offseason, aimed to enhance the fan experience ahead of the 2025 season.

The audio, video, and lighting integrator Paragon 360 was responsible for the installation of the new system. The design and delivery of the speakers were handled by Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW). Bose was the company that delivered the speakers for the installation.

The new system provides better coverage, higher output, and better pattern control compared to the old system, which was installed in 2004. EAW managed to deliver the speakers in time for opening day, despite the short timeline for the project.

The EAW MKD series was chosen as the perfect solution for the Hammons Field audio upgrade. Specifically, 18 MKC80 speakers were used for the outdoor suite seating and seven for the Coca-Cola Redbird Roost seating, six MKC120 speakers for the Coca-Cola Redbird Roost common area, and seven were used across the stadium entrances. Additionally, 14 EAW MKD1296 3-way full-range loudspeakers were installed for the main seating areas at Hammons Field. All the speakers were hung using the appropriate EAW U-Bracket.

The compact size and overall sound quality of the EAW MKC series make these speakers a tremendous value. The system's intelligibility and output are outstanding. The EAW MKC series turned out to be the perfect complement to the MKD main speakers.

The new audio system at Hammons Field, which debuted just in time for opening day, provides excellent coverage and sound quality, greatly enhancing the fan experience. The stadium, which also hosts events for Missouri State University Bears, offers additional 2,500 general admission spots.

With the new audio system in place, visitors to Hammons Field can look forward to a more immersive and enjoyable experience at the ballpark. The stadium features the Coca-Cola Redbird Roost, the SpringNet Champions Club, a spacious main concourse, private suites, and new third-level executive suites, all of which will now benefit from the improved sound quality.
