The A39 Maschener intersection is currently undergoing construction, with the project expected to last until mid-August. This ongoing work has resulted in lane closures and partial roadblocks, causing delays for commuters and travellers.

From July 24 to 25, the highway will be completely closed overnight between 7 PM and 5 AM. During this period, drivers are advised to take alternative routes. Those heading towards Hamburg can use the B75 via Winsen (Luhe) as an alternative, while local traffic is encouraged to use side roads around Maschen to avoid the construction zone.

Speed limits will be reduced in the construction area, and lane shifts and narrowed lanes may cause additional delays. Some entry and exit ramps at the Maschener intersection might be temporarily closed or limited.

The A39 will reopen each day at 5 AM, but during the overnight closure, drivers will need to exit at the A7 interchange and re-enter on the other side. The Autobahn GmbH, the managing authority for the construction, has asked drivers to drive carefully and adhere to speed limits to ensure safety during the construction period.

The closure is due to the relocation of the construction site, and the Autobahn GmbH has urged drivers to check local traffic reports or their official website for the most current updates. Despite the lane restrictions, all traffic connections at the Maschener intersection will be maintained during the construction work.

Due to potential bad weather, the work may be delayed, but the Autobahn GmbH will make every effort to complete the project on schedule. The construction on the A39 at the Maschener intersection is a necessary step to ensure the continued safety and efficiency of the highway. Drivers are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and allow extra travel time during the construction period.

  1. In order to avoid the construction zone and potential delays, automotive travelers might benefit from using the B75 via Winsen (Luhe) as an alternative route while the A39 is under construction in the industry sector.
  2. Drivers can expect temporary closures or limitations on some entry and exit ramps at the Maschener intersection due to finance considerations, as the ongoing transportation project requires the relocation of the construction site.
