SNL CEO Ladi Soyombo Celebrates 40 Years, Honors Mentors, and Looks Ahead in Nigeria's Oil and Gas Industry
Ladipo 'Ladi' Soyombo, the 40-year-old CEO of SNL Technology, celebrated his birthday with a reflection on his journey in Nigeria's oil and gas industry. The event, held at Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, was attended by notable figures including his father Kayode Soyombo, Dr. Biodun Shobanjo, and Dr. Layi Fatona.
Soyombo, who holds a Master's in Petroleum Engineering and an executive management certificate from London Business School, started his career as Lead Petroleum Engineer at Afren. There, his strategies significantly boosted oil production. He later transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding SNL Technology to strengthen indigenous participation and digital transformation in upstream operations.
Under his leadership, SNL Technology has delivered impactful solutions across Nigeria's energy sector. The company serves as the authorized sales agent for Swagelok Sub-Saharan Africa, providing fluid system solutions to upstream producers. It supports major infrastructure projects and offshore developments, offering fittings, valves, tubing, manifolds, and gauges to ensure system integrity and reliability. The company also partners with IFS to deliver digital operations intelligence for asset management.
At 40, Soyombo's mission is to deepen indigenous participation in the oil and gas sector and inspire the next generation. He used his birthday celebration to honour mentors and emphasize the importance of mentorship, faith, and resilience. SNL Technology, under his guidance, continues to make significant strides in Nigeria's energy sector.
