SEP Announces New Leadership: Paterson Steps Down, Conroy & Davidson Take Helm

Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has announced a significant leadership change. After two decades at the helm, Calum Paterson moves to the role of chairman and senior partner. Angus Conroy and Keith Davidson have been appointed as Co-Managing Partners, marking the start of a new era for the firm.

During his tenure, Paterson oversaw SEP's growth, with the firm raising seven funds, investing in over 160 businesses, and transitioning from venture capital to growth investing in European software companies. The new leadership structure is part of SEP's long-term succession plan.

Conroy, a co-founder of SEP, and Davidson have been instrumental in shaping the firm's strategy over the last decade. Both have led investments in notable software companies. Conroy, who has held a managing partner role, will now serve alongside Davidson as joint managing partners. Fraser McLatchie has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO), while Tim Ankers has been promoted to Partner in the investment team. SEP aims to continue its success under the new leadership, remaining a partner of choice for ambitious technology companies across the UK and Europe.

The leadership transition at SEP sees Calum Paterson move to a strategic role, while Angus Conroy and Keith Davidson take the reins as Co-Managing Partners. With a strong team in place, SEP looks set to continue its successful track record of investing in and supporting European software companies.
