Here's a lowdown on the new kid on the block, Sabine König. Starting January 1, 2025, she'll make her grand entry as a board member (Vorständin) at LBS Landesbausparkasse NordOst AG, taking over from Jens Grelle, who's bidding adieu after a stellar 30-year run[1][3]. So long, Jens, and many thanks for laying the groundwork for LBS's stability and future[2]!

Our gal Sabine will be handling digitalization, IT, administration, building savings, financing, and internal auditing[1]. Sounds like quite the task, aye? No worries, she's got the chops for it.

Helmut Ibsch, chairman of LBS NordOst, couldn't be happier about this development. In his words, "Jens Grelle, our man, has shown unwavering dedication and commitment to LBS for the past thirty years, both locally and nationally. He's been instrumental in making LBS NordOst a steady, future-proof powerhouse." Hats off, Jens!

Sabine, on the other hand, has a pretty impressive résumé under her belt. She commenced her journey with a bank clerk apprenticeship at Stadtsparkasse Mönchengladbach and followed it up with a degree in economics. From 2003 to 2017, she dabbled in various roles at LBS Bausparkasse Schleswig-Holstein-Hamburg AG before venturing into consultancy. That's right, folks! She spent some time at zeb.rolfes.schierenbeck.associates gmbh, where she worked her way up to senior manager. There, she honed her skills in the financial services sector by joining forces with insurers and payment service providers on numerous projects[1][4].

Most recently, Sabine has been holding down the fort as a member of the management board at LBS Hessen-Thüringen. Her dominion extends to operational organization/IT, credit services, market services, and administration[1]. Talk about multitasking!

So, what does this all mean? In essence, Sabine König is stepping up to help shape LBS NordOst's future[2]. It's exciting times ahead, folks!
