Russia-Ukraine Conflict Chronology: Day 1,303 - Highlighting Crucial Incidents in the ongoing Russian War on Ukraine.

In the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, several significant developments have taken place over the past week.

The United States Department of State has approved the sale of Javelin missile systems to Poland for an estimated $780 million. This decision follows Poland's multiple purchases of Javelin systems in the past, including a 2020 deal worth $54 million for 60 launchers and 180 missiles, and a 2023 supplementary order worth $103.5 million for 500 missiles and 50 launchers. Most recently, Poland was approved to buy 253 launchers and more than 2,500 missiles valued at $780 million. These sales, produced by Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, mark an expansion of Javelin missile system customers beyond their prior clientele.

Meanwhile, Lockheed Martin has begun supplying Javelin missiles to countries in South America and North Africa, signalling a broader distribution of these systems.

On the European front, the European Commission's Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius plans to convene talks with defense ministers next week on creating a "drone wall" along the European Union's eastern border. This initiative comes as Ukrainian drones have been reported to have attacked key oil-processing and petrochemical complexes in Russia's Bashkortostan and Volgograd regions.

Ukraine has agreed to train Polish soldiers and engineers in drone warfare defense, further strengthening its alliance with Poland.

In response to Russia's aggression, the European Commission is set to present its 19th package of sanctions against Russia, which includes a proposal to ban Russian liquefied natural gas. This move follows Australia's announcement of new sanctions against 95 "shadow fleet" Russian vessels.

The Russian military units have claimed to have breached a western village in Ukraine called Yampol and secured new positions near five residential areas. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claims Russian losses have mounted in the eastern city of Pokrovsk.

Russian oil and gas sales for September are expected to see a 23 percent reduction compared with last year, reflecting the impact of sanctions on the Russian economy. In an effort to protect the state budget from oil price fluctuations and Western sanctions, Russia's Ministry of Finance announced a new measure.

President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to King Charles of the United Kingdom for steadfast support, while King Charles referenced Ukraine during a dinner with President Trump. During a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump discussed ways to increase defense support for Ukraine and put pressure on Putin to agree to a peace deal.

Putin suggested imposing a luxury tax or higher taxes on stock dividends to boost Russia's wartime economy. Despite these efforts, Russian President Vladimir Putin has faced criticism from US President Donald Trump over his failure to secure a peace deal in Ukraine.

In a positive note, Zelenskyy thanked Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for assistance in returning Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. These developments underscore the ongoing support for Ukraine from its allies in its struggle against Russian aggression.
