Russia Launches 10,000-Apartment Rental Program for Far East
The Russian government has launched an ambitious program to build 10,000 rental apartments in the Far East. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing for students, young professionals under 35, and key workers in sectors like healthcare, education, and transport. The project, named 'Affordable Rental Housing in the FEFD', is a collaborative effort involving various ministries, regional authorities, and housing construction companies.
The program, set to run until 2043, has received a substantial budget of 87 billion rubles. It will create a rental housing fund, with subsidies available for individuals through regional and federal budgets. Yakutia, one of the regions in the Far Eastern Federal District, is expected to receive 850 rental apartments. These will be built in key cities such as Yakutsk, Mirny, Neryungri, Aldan, and Tommot. The first apartments in Yakutsk and Aldan are scheduled for completion in 2023.
The Minister of Construction of Yakutia, Victor Romanov, recently met with DOM.RF representatives to discuss the details of this housing project. DOM.RF, along with relevant ministries and regional developers, is jointly implementing this program to ensure its success.
The 'Affordable Rental Housing in the FEFD' program is a significant step towards addressing housing needs in the Far East. With 10,000 apartments planned, it aims to benefit a wide range of citizens, contributing to the region's development and growth.
