Rural sector wages have experienced a 7% increase
In the heart of Russia's agricultural hub, Krasnodar, salaries in the agricultural sector have seen a remarkable increase over the past decade.
According to data from an online service called "Kommersant-Yug," the director of which is Olesya Lavrenova, the median offered salary in the agricultural sector at the start of 2025 was 83,800 rubles. This represents a substantial rise from the 72,700 rubles reported at the beginning of 2024, marking an approximate increase of 11,000 rubles.
The exact companies responsible for this growth remain unclear, as no specific names have emerged in the available search results. However, the Russian government has implemented major programmes for agricultural development, providing subsidies for machinery and livestock pharmaceuticals, which could potentially benefit agricultural enterprises in the region.
Despite the overall economic situation, employers in the agricultural sector are reportedly making efforts to enhance its attractiveness, as stated by Olesya Lavrenova. The sector's growth is further evidenced by the tripling of the volume of agricultural production in Krasnodar over the past 10 years.
Comparing August of the previous year with August 2025, salaries in the agricultural sector saw a increment of 4,600 rubles, reaching 98,400 rubles. This modest yet consistent growth suggests a positive trend for the sector moving forward.
As the agricultural sector in Krasnodar continues to thrive, it will be interesting to see how these trends develop in the coming years. With the Russian government's support and the efforts of employers, the sector appears poised for continued growth and success.
