Road Remain Closed in Wiesbaden: Bus Routes Altered
The Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden has announced changes to several bus lines due to construction work and detours. Here's a breakdown of the affected routes and the measures in place to ensure smooth travel.
Starting from May 19, 2025, bus lines 3 and 33 will be affected by detours on Emser Straße. During the first construction phase, stops such as "Landeshaus," "Adelheidstraße," "Landesbibliothek," "Schwalbacher Straße / LuisenForum," "Platz der Deutschen Einheit," "Michelsberg," and "Riederbergstraße" will not be served in both directions. The affected stops' timetable displays provide further general information, and the ESWE-Verkehr service hotline, reachable at (0611) 45022450, is available for specific inquiries.
For Line 9, both directions, there will be a detour between the Niederbergstraße and Ruthof stops via Biebricher Straße.
Lines 6 and 33, heading towards Mainz/Kostheim, will experience a route diversion. The buses will travel via Albertstraße, Biebricher Straße, and then turn at the intersection of Otto-Suhr-Ring/Wiesbadener Straße. Line 6 will then resume its regular route, while Line 33 will continue straight and return to its usual route. A temporary stop, "Mudra-Kaserne," will be set up, approximately 100 meters before the Wiesbadener Straße intersection, and all stops along the detour will be served.
Travelers are advised to consider these changes when planning their trips and allow for extra time if necessary. Real-time timetable information can be found on the ESWE-Verkehr website at www.netzplan-ourwebsite.de. A list of all detour announcements, including the one for Line 6 and Line 33, direction Mainz/Kostheim, is available at www.eswe-verkehr.de.
In addition, the Rhine-Main Transport Association hotline, available 24/7 under the number (069) 24248024, offers timetable and fare information. For questions related to the construction work or any other concerns, citizens can contact the responsible department or office.
The ESWE-Verkehr service hotline, open Monday to Friday from 7 to 18 hours and on Saturdays from 8 to 15 hours, remains a valuable resource for specific inquiries related to the bus line detours. The regular route will apply, and the Dyckerhoffstraße stop will be served as usual for Line 6 and Line 33, direction Wiesbaden.
As always, we encourage travelers to stay informed and plan accordingly to ensure a hassle-free journey during these temporary changes.
