RISK Acquires Dyme, Expanding European Fintech Presence
Dutch insurtech RISK has acquired Amsterdam-based fintech Dyme, marking a significant move in the European fintech landscape. The acquisition, which will see Dyme's brand and management team remain intact, brings together two innovative companies with complementary offerings.
RISK, known for its advanced IT platform SureBase, will serve as the key base for the new synergy between the two companies. This will enable Dyme, which has helped users save more than €40 million since inception and recently reported its first profitable quarter, to boost its presence in the Netherlands and enter the German stock market.
Meanwhile, Factris, another player in the fintech space, has secured a €100 million facility to support financing SME factoring across Europe. This move allows Factris to finance sellers in nine countries and manage receivables from debtors in 27 countries, significantly expanding its reach.
The acquisition of Dyme by RISK, along with Factris' expansion, signals a period of growth and increased presence in the European fintech market. Both companies are well-positioned to leverage their respective strengths to provide more comprehensive services to their customers.
