Rheinisch-Bergischer District Showcases Economic Hub at Expo Real 2025
The Rheinisch-Bergische Economic Development Corporation (RBW) is set to showcase the economic hub of the Rheinisch-Bergischer district at Expo Real in Munich from October 6 to 8, 2025. The event will highlight the Zanders area project, a mixed-use quarter for residential, business, and educational purposes, driven by a flexible urban planning concept and a development company.
Led by RBW Managing Director Volker Suermann, the presentation will also feature the Rhombus site in Wermelskirchen, a new quarter known for its high green space quality. The Zanders area project, spanning 36 hectares, is a transformation project that aims to create a vibrant mixed-use quarter. Partners at the regional joint stand include VR Bank eG Bergisch Gladbach-Leverkusen, Kreissparkasse Köln, Hahn Group, and Rösrath OSMAB Holding AG. Both the Zanders area and the Rhombus site are qualified within the framework of REGIONALE 2025.
The city of Bergisch Gladbach will use the fair to discuss the Zanders area project. RBW will participate in the joint stand of the Cologne/Bonn region with the city of Bergisch Gladbach. A delegation including Landrat Stephan Santelmann and representatives from Bergisch Gladbach will present the economic hub and selected projects.
The presentation at Expo Real offers an opportunity to promote the Rheinisch-Bergischer district's economic potential and attract investments. The Zanders area project, with its flexible urban planning and strong partnerships, is expected to contribute significantly to the region's growth and development.
