In the city of Gießen, a series of new speed limits are being implemented in several areas, including the North Annex, Krofdorfer Street, Heyerweg, Grünerberger Street, Rödegner Street, Friedhofsallee, and Rodtbergstraße.
The city council has ordered these changes with the aim of improving noise protection and enhancing the quality of life in the affected streets. The new speed limits are set at 30 km/h, a move designed to make traffic flow safer for all road users.
The North Annex area will see a new speed limit aimed at calming traffic and protecting residents from noise and traffic congestion. Similarly, the new speed limit in Heyerweg is intended to increase safety and tranquility in this residential area.
The 30 km/h zone in the area of the Friedhofsallee is being extended into Rodtbergstraße up to just before Narzissenweg. A 30 km/h zone is also being established in the area of Heyerweg between Grünerberger Street and Rödegner Street.
The city of Gießen is taking these steps as part of its ongoing commitment to the protection and well-being of its citizens. The new speed limits are part of the city's efforts to reduce noise levels in certain areas and improve the overall quality of life for its residents.
The city administration has asked for understanding and compliance with the new speed limits. It is hoped that these changes will lead to a more peaceful and safer environment for all those living and travelling in the affected streets.
