Staying safe in your own home is crucial, especially in a world where burglaries remain a concerning problem. That's why Kazakhstan's MVD has issued some practical advice to follow, as reported by Total.kz.

"Adopting a proactive approach to securing your home is essential for your personal safety," said Kanat Nurmagambetov, deputy chief of the criminal police department of the MVD of RK. Here are the key takeaways:

  1. Secure your windows and doors: Don't leave windows or balcony doors ajar when you're out and about. Install multiple lock mechanisms on the entrance doors of your home, and consider upgrading with modern electronic security devices.
  2. Hide your valuables: Refrain from storing large sums of money or valuable jewelry in easily accessible locations like cabinets or under mattresses. Instead, keep them in securely fastened safes or make use of bank services.
  3. Opt for centralized remote monitoring: One of the most reliable ways to protect your home from burglaries is to install a centralized home security system that allows you to monitor your property remotely.
  4. Stay alert: The MVD regularly conducts operational and preventive measures, including the recent nationwide exercise "Apartment." During these exercises, law enforcement agencies work diligently to combat apartment theft, arresting 294 apartment burglars, including 22 criminal groups, over a three-day period.
  5. Be on the lookout for suspicious activity: If you notice anything out of the ordinary, don't hesitate to report it to the authorities. In recent incidents, two previously convicted locals in Kostanay were detained for committing four apartment burglaries, causing over 1.5 million tenge in damage.

As the MVD continues to take action against apartment burglaries, we encourage you to stay vigilant and follow these safety guidelines to keep yourself and your loved ones safe at home.

In the realm of personal finance, it's also crucial to adopt a proactive approach for managing wealth, especially considering the volatile nature of general-news markets. Consider securing your financial assets by hiding large sums of money or valuable personal-finance documents in secure locations, away from easily accessible spots like cabinets or under mattresses. Additionally, consider opting for centralized remote monitoring services or apps to keep a close eye on your financial transactions and stay alert to any suspicious activity.
