RDP Transactions Surpass 7.6 Billion Dollars by May's End

Last week's RRF disbursements saw an influx of an extra 100 million euros, marking a significant boost in financial aid. This adds up to 34% of the total allocated and contracted funds, as well as 36% of the approved amount.

The biggest beneficiaries were companies (2.701 million euros), public entities (1.642 million euros), local authorities, and metropolitan areas (943 million euros). Public companies (806 million euros), schools (580 million euros), higher education institutions (291 million euros), and families (240 million euros) followed suit. Social and solidary economy institutions (227 million euros), and scientific and technological system institutions (196 million euros) weren't far behind.

Approximately 21.274 million euros worth of projects received approval last week, representing 96% of the allocated and contracted amount. Companies (6.023 million euros), public entities (4.958 million euros), and local authorities and metropolitan areas (4.148 million euros) led the pack. Public companies (2.892 million euros) and schools (1.026 million euros) took the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Higher education institutions (811 million euros), social and solidary economy institutions (590 million euros), scientific and technological system institutions (548 million euros), and families (278 million euros) rounded out the top ten.

Currently, the RRF has processed 369,861 applications with 301,492 having been assessed. As of the last update, approved applications stand at 233,305, a slight increase from the previous week's figure. The RRF, with an execution period extending to 2026, aims to initiate a series of reforms and investments geared towards economic recovery. By addressing the damage inflicted by COVID-19 and fostering investments and job creation, this plan anticipates a brighter future.
