The Chinese automotive market is about to see a new competitor in the full-size sedan segment, as Great Wall Motors (GWM) prepares to launch the Voleex C70. This is the third brand under GWM, with SUVs going under the 'Haval' brand and commercial vehicles as 'Chevrolet'. The Voleex C70 is designed to take on the Huatai B11 and Roewe 750 in the competitive Chinese market. The C70 boasts a big, impressive front design, and it will be equipped with a 2.0 Turbo engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, no information on the power of the C70's engine is available as of yet. Production of the C70 is expected to start in about a year, and it will come with a weight of 1580kg, dimensions of 4945x1865x1480, and a wheelbase of 2800. The estimated price of the C70 is 170,000 rmb. Meanwhile, GWM's Haval brand is also making waves with the Big Dog Plus. This off-road SUV is available in both PHEV and ICE powertrains, with a starting price of $19,100. Another new addition to the GWM lineup is the Ora Cat, an electric SUV that was recently exposed in China. No specifications for the Ora Cat have been released yet. On the other hand, the Tank 500, another off-road SUV from GWM, will also be available in both PHEV and ICE powertrains. The Tank 500 has a starting price of $46,800. It's important to note that GWM and Voleex are separate brands. While GWM produces the Haval Big Dog Plus, Ora Cat, and Tank 500, Voleex is responsible for the production of the C70. The Tank 500 is not related to the current news. The Beijing Auto Show 2010 is not related to the current news either. Stay tuned for more updates on the Voleex C70 and other new offerings from GWM and its brands.
