Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his birthday on September 17, 2022, with a series of significant announcements and events. One of the highlights of the day was the inauguration of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (Healthy Woman Empowered Family Campaign) in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.
During the Swasth Nari campaign, tests for endemic diseases such as tuberculosis and conditions like anaemia will be conducted. The scheme, overseen by the Union Ministry of Textiles, aims to promote health awareness and empower women in the region.
Another significant event on Prime Minister Modi's birthday was the foundation stone laying of the first PM MITRA park in Dhar. The PM MITRA park is an integrated textile park inspired by the Prime Minister's 5F vision, referring to the entire value chain of textile production and export. The park, which has already drawn Rs 23,000 crore worth of investment proposals, is expected to attract investments worth Rs 10,000 crore and create 1,00,000 jobs directly and 2,00,000 jobs indirectly.
Out of a total 2,100 acres available for the PM MITRA project in Dhar, 1,300 acres has been allotted to companies seeking to play a role in the park. As of September 15, the state has approved 91 companies to invest in the PM MITRA park in Dhar, worth Rs 20,000 crore in total.
The government of India has also selected cities such as Coimbatore, Surat, Tirupur, and Panipat as locations for the Integrated Textile Parks under the PM MITRA program in the coming months. Seven PM MITRA parks are being set up in Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.
In addition to these developments, Prime Minister Modi received birthday wishes from President Trump. The Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to India-US ties, emphasizing the strong bond between the two nations.
On the previous year's birthday, Prime Minister Modi celebrated by clicking photos of cheetahs imported to Kuno national park in Madhya Pradesh from two African nations, Namibia and South Africa. The event marked a significant step towards the revival of the cheetah population in India.
The Swasth Nari campaign is expected to include awareness camps, health screenings, blood donation drives, and reviews of nutrition standards and awareness. The campaign, along with the PM MITRA park, promises to bring about significant changes in the region, fostering economic growth and promoting health and wellness.
