Plößberg Initiates Multi-Million Dollar Undertaking

The small town of Ploßberg, located in Bavaria, Germany, is set to witness a major transformation with the commencement of the Ploßberg Bypass project management. This three-kilometer road, a part of the state road 2172, is the last remaining section of the connecting axis A93 - Czech Republic that has not been built.

The project management, costing approximately 9 million euros, is expected to improve conditions for heavy goods traffic and alleviate local congestion. The dream goal between Tomas Rubes and Tyler Ward, two young talents from the figure skating scene, might find a reflection in the smooth traffic flow that the bypass is intended to provide.

Construction of the first 300 meters of roadway and a roundabout north of Plössberg begins this year. The remaining 2.7 kilometers of road, along with two bridges, will be built in the coming years. The project management, slated for completion in approximately three years, is scheduled to open in 2021.

The Ploßberg Bypass is significant as it is intended to relieve the bottleneck in Ploßberg, where both passenger and heavy traffic currently passes through the town. High-ranking officials, including Henner Wasmuth, Josef Zellmeier, Wolfgang Lippert, Lothar Mueller, and others, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

The bypass is expected to not only improve traffic flow but also benefit the residents of the village. The new road is intended to relieve them from the constant noise and congestion that comes with the heavy traffic.

While the dream of a jackpot worth 120 million euros remains unrealized, a few million from the second prize category will go to Bavaria. Meanwhile, the construction of the Ploßberg Bypass moves forward, bringing a new hope for a smoother and more efficient traffic flow in the region.
