Over 50 Entrepreneurs Gather for Energy Efficiency Talk in Kirchlengern

Over 50 entrepreneurs gathered at the Hettich Group in Kirchlengern for the 'Practical Talk for Clever Energy Solutions in Companies'. The event, held on September 16, 2025, aimed to discuss energy efficiency and sustainability, fostering innovation and networking among local businesses.

Birgit Rehberg, head of district development and climate protection, deemed the event a success due to the valuable exchange and networking opportunities it provided for both major players and smaller companies. Jan Hüttner, economic developer in the Herford district, praised the enthusiasm and expertise of local companies in approaching sustainability and energy efficiency.

Philip Kleineberg from ProElectrify showcased practical solutions for medium-sized businesses, including bidirectional charging, commercial storage, and smart energy management. Daniel Menke from the Hettich Group spoke about photovoltaics, heat recovery, and a pilot project for reducing natural gas, followed by a tour of Hettich's modern compressed air station. The event was part of the 'Company Network Climate Protection', which has existed in the Herford district for several years, focusing on sustainability and climate protection in the context of growth and competitiveness. Hüttner highlighted the importance of smart, flexible solutions for long-term capability and a 'green' image, given the energy market's volatility and scarcity of fossil fuels.

The 'Practical Talk for Clever Energy Solutions in Companies' brought together representatives of various companies, innovative medium-sized businesses, and creative entrepreneurs with the Climate Protection Management of the Herford district. With over 50 attendees, the event provided ample opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange. Future events and topics can be explored through the intermunicipal economic development.
