NRA Appoints New Leaders to Strengthen Team and Protect Gun Owners' Rights
The National Rifle Association (NRA) has appointed new leaders to key positions, aiming to strengthen its team and protect gun owners' rights. The association, which has faced staffing challenges due to legal issues and past leadership missteps, is now focusing on rebuilding and growth.
Mike Sanford, a 30-year NRA staffer, has taken on the role of deputy executive director of NRA Media. He brings extensive experience and has contributed to the association's financial growth and multimedia properties.
Mark Keefe, now editorial director of NRA Media, is communicating the NRA's efforts to support gun owners and their freedom. Meanwhile, Cole McCulloch, another USMC veteran, is directing the NRA's Competitive Shooting Division, working to revive the division after pandemic-related shutdowns.
Derek Robinson leads the NRA Membership Division, focusing on bolstering the connection between members and the association. Josh Savani, with a background in legislative and legal policy development, serves as executive director of NRA General Operations. James P. Carter, a former US Marine Corps officer, is now executive director of the Office of Advancement, after working in NRA Media sales. John Commerford, previously NRA-ILA's Chief of Operations, is now executive director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action. Glen Hoyer directs the NRA Law Enforcement Division, supporting law-enforcement ranges and training.
The NRA's new leadership is committed to building a robust team to safeguard and promote gun owners' freedom. With experienced personnel in key roles, the association is poised to tackle challenges and advocate for its members effectively.
