Nissan Redesigns Leaf, Hyper-Punk, Rogue, INFINITI FX, QX65 Models
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. is set to unveil an impressive lineup of new and refreshed vehicles in the upcoming fiscal years, with a strong emphasis on hybrid technologies and electrification.
In FY25, the Japanese automaker will introduce several significant models. In the U.S. and Canada, over 10 new and refreshed products are scheduled to launch, including the all-new Nissan LEAF and a plug-in hybrid version of the compact Rogue SUV. The LEAF, reimagined as a family-friendly crossover, will feature 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic moonroof, and a NACS charging port for the North American market.
Meanwhile, in Europe, an all-new, all-electric Juke will join the range. In Japan, the third-generation e-POWER system is expected to debut on the Qashqai, offering up to 15% enhancement in economy at high speeds. The new Patrol will be introduced in Egypt and South Africa, and the all-new Micra EV city car will be launched in Europe, produced in collaboration with Renault.
Furthermore, in India, a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) will be introduced, and in the Middle East, the all-new QX65 will be added to the INFINITI range.
In FY26, production of the all-new Nissan EV is scheduled to commence at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi plant in the U.S., followed by a luxury INFINITI EV SUV. The all-new fourth-generation Rogue will begin production, offering Nissan's innovative e-POWER technology in the U.S. and Canada. The Rogue will receive a radical redesign, featuring an edgy, rugged aesthetic and updated CMF-CD architecture that supports new hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.
In addition, the Qashqai range will see the introduction of an e-Power hybrid variant with more attractive pricing for the Australian market. The Qashqai e-Power employs the same series hybrid technology, providing an electric-drive experience powered by a small petrol engine acting as a generator.
INFINITI will launch the all-new QX65 crossover coupe in FY26, channeling inspiration from the INFINITI FX. The all-new mid-size QX65 crossover coupe will also debut in Japan during the same year.
The luxury brand will also introduce the much-anticipated Ariya all-electric crossover in Australia, while the all-new fourth-generation Rogue will offer a plug-in hybrid model.
Nissan’s vehicle strategy for FY25 and FY26 focuses heavily on expanding hybrid (series e-Power system) and plug-in hybrid offerings, integrating electrification in its key SUV models, while maintaining a focus on hybrid-electric powertrains for a smoother transition to electrification without full battery electric vehicles in these segments yet.
