NEOS' Donig Joins European Forum Alpbach, Successor Yet to Be Named
Nikola Donig, the former communication director of the NEOS party, has left the party. He is now joining the management of the European Forum Alpbach. The NEOS have not yet determined a successor for Donig and aim to clarify the situation in the coming weeks.
Donig led the strategic communication of the NEOS for the past two and a half years. He previously served as the general secretary of the party from 2016 to 2021. In 2021, he temporarily left the NEOS to work in the NGO sector. The NEOS brought him back in 2023 for the super-election year 2024.
Douglas Hoyos, the pink general secretary, commented on Donig's departure but did not provide details on his successor.
Nikola Donig's departure from the NEOS comes as the party prepares for the super-election year 2024. The party aims to clarify the succession in the coming weeks, ensuring a smooth transition in the communications director role.
