MTN Introduces Cloud Accelerator Scheme, Provides ₦100 Million in Funding for African Entrepreneurs
The MTN Cloud Accelerator Program, a new initiative by MTN Nigeria, is a 12-week opportunity for growth-stage African startups to scale faster and build bold in the African tech ecosystem. This program is aimed at supporting startups in sectors such as fintech, health-tech, ed-tech, agri-tech, AI, cybersecurity, digital ID, retail, and e-commerce, especially those serving underserved or rural communities with MVPs or live products and strong customer traction.
The program offers a plethora of benefits to the selected startups. Each cohort stands to receive $65,000 in grants, access to MTN’s cloud infrastructure and API integration (MTN Cloud, MoMo, Chenosis), one-on-one mentorship from industry experts, cloud credits and technical advisory support, sales, go-to-market (GTM) support, investor pitch coaching, warm introductions to venture capitalists, and demo day exposure. Post-program benefits include potential pilots, strategic partnerships, and M&A preparation.
The application process is straightforward. Interested startups fitting the sector and impact focus can submit their applications online before the deadline, which was August 15, 2025. Selected startups will then enter the program, which includes mentorship, integration support, and go-to-market resources. The program concludes with a demo day featuring MTN, investors, and media exposure.
