Moncler & Pharrell Williams Unveil Glamping-Inspired Capsule Collection
Moncler is set to unveil a new capsule collection inspired by glamping, designed in collaboration with musician and LVMH menswear designer Pharrell Williams. The collection, titled 'Slate Gray and Moss Green', will be available from Sept. 22 in select Moncler boutiques and online.
The collection leans heavily on vests and jackets, featuring multifunctional pieces such as trousers that convert to shorts and a duvet blanket that doubles as a cape. A standout item is a convertible jacket with zip-off sleeves, showcasing the brand's commitment to versatility and innovation.
This collaboration marks the latest in a series of partnerships between Moncler and Williams, who first joined forces in 2009. The capsule comes hot on the heels of Moncler's recent launch with Billionaire Boys Club, another venture co-owned by Williams. Under Williams' creative direction, outerwear has consistently been a highlight of his collections and collaborations with Moncler.
Moncler's H1 revenues for 2023 have surged by 24% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.14 billion euros. This growth is a testament to the brand's continued success under the leadership of Remo Ruffini, who purchased Moncler in 2003 and has since transformed it into a leading luxury brand for down jackets and outdoor clothing. The upcoming Williams capsule collection is expected to further boost Moncler's appeal and solidify its position in the luxury market.
