Microsoft Revamps Bing Places for Business: New Experience Launched

Microsoft has revamped its Bing Places for Business platform, unveiling a new experience on October 3, 2025. The update addresses key concerns of business owners and introduces new features to enhance local search management.

Microsoft conducted thorough research with business owners prior to development, identifying three main areas of improvement: enhanced discoverability, simplified design, and streamlined importing. The new experience launched on October 3, 2025, with additional features slated for the coming months. Current users will automatically transition to the new platform.

The platform now operates under a new domain structure, moving from www.bingplaces.com to www.bing.com/forbusiness, reflecting broader integration efforts. A new Recommendation Tool has been introduced, helping business owners enrich their listings with targeted suggestions based on listing health signals and business segment data.

Microsoft has also improved the import functionality from Google Business Profile. The process is now faster, more reliable, and preserves key attributes. The platform supports both import methods and manual creation, offering instant verification for imported listings. Businesses can manage their local search presence across Bing search results and Bing Maps at no cost.

To celebrate the launch, Microsoft is offering $500 in advertising credits through Microsoft Advertising when business owners spend $250. The promotional offer is prominently displayed on the platform's landing page.
