Mercedes-Benz Q3 2025 Sales: Luxury, EV Demand Surges Despite Market Challenges
Mercedes-Benz has reported its Q3 2025 sales figures, revealing a mixed picture across its passenger car and van divisions. While top-end vehicle sales and electric vehicle (EV) demand surged, overall sales dipped due to market conditions in China.
Top-end vehicle sales, including models like the S-Class, increased by 5% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and 10% year-on-year (YoY) in Q3 2025, reaching 67,800 units. This strong performance contributed to 15.4% of Mercedes-Benz Cars' total sales. The new electric CLA and increased electric van availability drove EV sales up by 9% YoY and 22% QoQ, with 51,200 purely battery-powered models sold in total.
The S-Class family alone sold 28,300 units in Q3 2025, marking an 11% QoQ and 9% YoY increase. Notably, one in three S-Class vehicles sold was a Mercedes-Maybach model. However, overall sales for Mercedes-Benz Group stood at 525,300 passenger cars and vans, a 12% decrease YoY, primarily due to challenging market conditions in China.
Despite the dip in overall sales, Mercedes-Benz Cars showed resilience in top-end and electric vehicle segments. Looking ahead, the company will hope to maintain this momentum and navigate market challenges, with official Mercedes-Benz Vans Q3 2025 sales figures expected to be released in the coming weeks.
