Counterpart Studios, a new production company founded by Tony Hernandez, Elise Henderson, and Lilly Burns, has made a splash in the entertainment industry with several exciting projects in the pipeline. The company, which has offices in New York and Los Angeles, is set to produce a variety of content for major streaming platforms.

Tony Hernandez, an Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer, leads the company as CEO. Elise Henderson serves as president, and Lilly Burns is the chief creative officer, reflecting their roles in the company's founding leadership team. Sarah Madigan, a former senior business executive at Jax Media and Imagine, has joined Counterpart Studios as the chief operating officer.

One of Counterpart Studios' most anticipated projects is the 10-episode half-hour darkly comedic thriller "Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed," starring Tatiana Maslany for Apple TV+. David Gordon Green is the director and executive producer of the series, and David J. Rosen is the creator and showrunner.

In addition to "Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed," Counterpart Studios has three internal projects in the works: an international action crime thriller and an erotic thriller, both set at streamers, and a workplace comedy. The company is also producing a six-episode comedy for Netflix toplined and co-created by Bert Kreischer, titled "Free Bert."

The team behind Counterpart Studios has been working together for the past year, previously running the production banner Jax Media. They believe that high-quality, efficient production is the root of creative success and centre their process around the artist/creator, staying nimble, and offering buyers premium content at the right price.

Elise Henderson worked as a literary agent for William Morris Agency and UTA before joining Counterpart Studios. She is the president of the company, with Tony Hernandez serving as the CEO and Lilly Burns as the chief creative officer.

Counterpart Studios aims to offer a model that focuses on the artist/creator and offers premium content at an affordable price. The company will leverage its deep experience in production and strong industry relationships to bring business to Counterpart Studios.

In the past, Counterpart Studios has delivered drama series "Dexter Original Sin" and "Dexter: Resurrection" for Paramount+/Showtime. Tony Hernandez launched the company in New York in 2011. Hernandez and Burns sold their Jax Media banner to Imagine Entertainment in 2018, and Imagine bought out the remaining interest in January 2023, the same month that Hernandez and Burns exited.
