Martha's Company, Inc. Unveils Ambitious Retail Expansion Plans
The Brand House Collective, now operating as Martha's Company, Inc., has revealed ambitious expansion plans for its retail portfolio. The company aims to open the first new Macy's store in fiscal 2026 and is developing strategies for Target locations. Meanwhile, it expects to open five more Bath & Body Works stores in the greater Nashville market this fiscal year, following the successful launch of the first store in August.
The collective's transformation continues with the integration of Kirkland's. After finalizing a $10 million purchase of Kirkland's Home brand assets and trade name, the company plans to convert all Kirkland's stores into Best Buy locations over the next two years. This move is expected to result in about 250 to 275 Kirkland's stores remaining as Best Buy stores going forward. However, 25 Kirkland's locations will close by January during this transition.
Despite these strategic shifts, the collective's net sales dropped 12% year over year in Q2, primarily due to a decline in store count and comparable sales. Kirkland's, however, seeks to offset this by expanding into the wholesale market for the first time, a move aimed at growing revenue.
The Brand House Collective, now Martha's Company, Inc., is actively reshaping its retail landscape. With new store openings, brand integrations, and expansion into new markets, the company is positioning itself for growth despite recent sales declines. The next two years will be pivotal in realizing these strategic plans.
