Major 'Night Out' Operation Targets Social Security Fraud in Regensburg's Nightlife
A major operation, codenamed 'Night Out', is underway in the Regensburg area. The Regensburg Main Customs Office, led by the Financial Control Schwarzarbeit (FKS), has been investigating suspected social security fraud in bars, nightclubs, and restaurants for several months. Today, around 80 personnel began searching 16 residential and business premises, with 15 located in the Upper Palatinate.
The operation, which started at 11 AM, involves seizing computers, smartphones, and documents as evidence. The FKS will now evaluate the seized materials to determine the extent of the suspected social security fraud. The investigation centres around the suspicion that employees were not registered or delayed in being registered with social security, leading to withheld contributions. Search warrants have been issued, and criminal proceedings have been initiated against several suspects. The name of the leader supporting the operation has not been found in the provided search results.
The 'Night Out' operation is a significant step in addressing suspected social security fraud in the Regensburg area's hospitality industry. The seized evidence will now be evaluated to uncover the full extent of the alleged offences and bring those responsible to justice.
