Local Dog Trainer in Frankfurt (Oder) Sentenced for Benefit Fraud
A local dog trainer in Frankfurt (Oder) has been sentenced for benefit fraud. The District Court imposed 120 daily fines of 40 EUR each, totaling 4,800 EUR. The Main Customs Office uncovered the fraud following an anonymous tip.
The dog trainer, whose name has not been disclosed, had reported a false income of 100 EUR per month. However, investigations revealed that her total income in 2021/2022 exceeded 32,000 EUR. This came from various activities such as dog training, consulting, pet food sales, photoshoots, and handmade dog supplies.
As her actual income was above the threshold, she was not eligible for social benefits. Despite this, she had wrongly received almost 15,280 EUR in benefits.
The dog trainer's benefit fraud has been exposed and she has been sentenced accordingly. The Main Customs Office's investigation, triggered by an anonymous tip, has ensured that justice has been served and public funds have been protected.
