Law firm WilmerHale selected as finalist for 10 Life Sciences Americas Awards from Legal Media Group
The annual LMG Life Sciences Awards, recognising outstanding achievements in Life Sciences legal practice over the past year, have announced their shortlists, with several firms and individuals making notable entries. Among the contenders is WilmerHale, which has been shortlisted six times across various categories.
In the individual category, three WilmerHale partners have been shortlisted. David Bassett has been named as the General Patent Litigator of the Year (New York), while Bill Lee is the General Patent Litigator of the Year (New England). Amy Wigmore, another partner, is the General Patent Litigator of the Year (DC Metro). Additionally, Sarah Hogan has been shortlisted as the Licensing & Collaboration Attorney of the Year.
The firm itself has been shortlisted in the LMG Life Sciences Awards, and WilmerHale has also been nominated for the General Patent Litigation Firm of the Year and the Life Cycle Firm of the Year - United States. The Venture Capital Attorney of the Year has been awarded to Stuart Falber, another partner at WilmerHale, although the Venture Capital Firm of the Year has yet to be announced.
Other firms in the running for the awards include Finnegan, Wilson Sonsini, and DLA Piper. Finnegan is shortlisted for the Intellectual Property Boutique Firm of the Year, Hatch-Waxman Litigation Firm of the Year – Branded, and Patent Strategy Firm of the Year. Wilson Sonsini is shortlisted for Hatch-Waxman Litigation Firm of the Year (Generic), Licensing and Collaboration Firm of the Year, and Venture Capital Firm of the Year. DLA Piper is shortlisted for Product Liability Firm of the Year and Product Liability Firm of the Year – Canada.
The Hatch-Waxman Litigation Firm of the Year (Branded) and the Life Cycle Firm of the Year - United States have been awarded to unspecified firms. The awards will be formally recognised at the Americas Awards Gala in New York on September 4, 2025.
