Krasnodar's New Dedicated Lane Boosts Public Transport
Krasnodar's public transport network has received a boost with the completion of a new dedicated lane section. The continuous route now stretches from Severny to Lomonosova Street, covering 1.5 km. This expansion is part of the city's ambitious plan to significantly increase its dedicated lane network over the next decade.
The newly completed lane is equipped with signs and markings to ensure smooth traffic flow. It is expected to reduce travel time for public transport users to and from the city center. This project is part of Krasnodar's ongoing efforts to improve its public transport infrastructure, which have placed it among the top cities in Russia for dedicated lane development by early 2025.
In addition to the Severny route, dedicated lanes can be found on several other streets in Krasnodar, including Stavropolskaya, Machugi, Oktyabrskaya, and Tyulyaeva. Over the next 10 years, the city plans to more than double its dedicated lane network, from the current 26 km to 45 km.
The completion of the new dedicated lane section from Sadovaya Street to Lomonosova Street is a significant step towards Krasnodar's goal of expanding its dedicated lane network. This expansion is set to enhance public transport efficiency and convenience, contributing to the city's overall development.
