Kempinski Hotels Appoints Julia Massey as VP of Global Sustainability

Kempinski Hotels S.A. has appointed Julia Massey as its new Vice President of Global Sustainability. Massey brings a wealth of experience in sustainability and climate change management, with a career spanning over 14 years in consulting and management roles. She has worked with major companies in the gas and oil sector, developing sustainable strategies and improving performance.

Massey's impressive academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna, Italy, and a Master's in Environmental Sciences and Policy from the Central European University in Budapest and Vienna. She is fluent in four languages: Russian, English, Italian, and Hungarian.

In her new role at Kempinski, Massey will drive and develop sustainable standards and initiatives. She aims to improve the hotel chain's sustainability performance and achieve eco-label accreditation. Previously, she has managed environmental projects in South East Asia, funded by large European investment funds. Massey has also served as the sustainability manager for OMV, Austria's largest oil and gas company, where she handled initiatives, reporting, and audits.
