Jüterbog Raid Nets 7 Illegal Residents, Employer Under Investigation
A joint inspection by customs and local authorities in Jüterbog has uncovered multiple violations, leading to seven criminal proceedings for illegal immigration. Several individuals attempted to flee, but were apprehended. Further investigations are ongoing.
The inspection, carried out by Customs Officer Brinkmann and local authorities, found violations of craft regulations and occupational safety standards. Only one out of 12 inspected individuals was properly registered for social security. Two of the seven individuals facing criminal proceedings were previously known to the police for illegal immigration, and another was wanted.
Customs has initiated investigations against the employer for these immigration-related violations. The name of the person being investigated is not provided. Brinkmann praised the close cooperation with partner authorities for the success of the operation.
Seven individuals have been handed over to the Central Foreigners' Authority of the State of Brandenburg, facing the threat of deportation. Further investigations are ongoing to address the immigration-related violations and ensure compliance with regulations.
