Interview with CHAINMASTER: Insights from the Manufacturer of Electric Chain Hoists

Get Ready to Be Blown Away at Prolight + Sound 2023 with CHAINMASTER GmbH's Mind-Boggling Chain Hoist Tech

Ever since the launch of CHAINMASTER products way back in 1994, this badass Saxon company has been making waves as one of the world's top gun manufacturers of electric chain hoists and controllers in the event industry. From setting up operations to complex scenic movements, and even full-blown automation, they've got a kickass lineup to cover all your rigging needs.

CHAINMASTER has been a rockstar supporting their clients from the initial planning phase to commissioning and user training. With over 125,000 electric chain hoists in use worldwide, their impressive list of references includes blockbuster projects like the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Louvre in Lens, the Stockholm Opera, and the Almaty Ice Arena, just to name a few.

After a Long, Tough Ride, Has the Industry Bounced Back?

Well, let's put it this way - with the events scene livelier than ever following a grueling two-year standstill, our boys at CHAINMASTER are feeling pretty damn pleased. Internationally especially, events are close to pre-pandemic levels.

So, What's Next for the Industry?

We can only hope and pray that we don't find ourselves in another hairy situation like the past two years any time soon. It'd be awesome if smaller companies could scratch and claw their way back up, and if the sorry mess that is the staffing shortage disappears in a couple of years.

Prolight + Sound - The Event Technology Fair Every Badass Company Wants to Be At

For CHAINMASTER, Prolight + Sound is one of the most crucial trade fairs in Germany and Europe. They've been part of this badass event for years, and last year, they unveiled their completely redesigned stand.

Past Projects - We're Talking Groundbreaking Shit Here!

When it comes to putting CHAINMASTER's products to work, there's always something unbelievably cool going down – from crushing it at concerts, owning the stage in theatres, to even slaying it on the water with a floating stage. For them, it's always a blast to see their gear being used on some insane projects worldwide.

But let's be real, these kinds of requests usually bring some challenges, especially when it comes to meeting those damn requirements or coding some badass special functions.

Shape Up for Prolight + Sound 2023

While we won't spill all the beans just yet, prepare to be blown away by another small innovation on their brand new stand. In 2023, their focus will mainly be on their compact Ultra series units with direct and contactor control.

See you in hall 12.0 at stand D11!

(Don't say we didn't warn ya – you ain't seen nothing yet!)
