Initiating construction of pioneering black garlic wine and aromatic herb enterprise

In an exciting development for the agricultural and tourism sectors in Da Nang City, Vietnam, the construction of a black garlic wine factory is underway. This innovative facility, a first of its kind in the country, will be part of the city's first herbal and global production chain.

The black garlic wine factory, being constructed by the CMA Vua Tỏi Herbal company, will utilise 68 tonnes of home-grown Global Good Agriculture Practices (Global GAP) garlic for the production of unique, healthy black garlic wine. Additionally, the factory will incorporate 400 tonnes of Lý Sơn Islands seaweed and mountain-planted Ngọc Linh ginseng roots and leaves for herbal production.

The investment for this high-tech agriculture zone in Hòa Vang Commune, where the factory is being built, totals $66.3 million. Seven suburban communes in Hòa Vang Commune are planned as high-quality and safe agricultural zones, spanning a total area of 540ha.

The black garlic wine factory, upon completion, will not only contribute to the city's agricultural processing industries but also boost local economic development. It will be a destination for herbal farming and production in the development of eco-tour services, further enhancing Da Nang City's tourism plan.

The factory, with a capacity of 60,000 litres, will store 50,000 litres in an underground cooling area. The investment for the black garlic wine factory is VNĐ8 billion (US$320,000).

Meanwhile, Hòa Vang Commune is being developed as a key medicinal herbal farming zone with World Health Organisation-guided Good Agricultural and Collection Practice (GACP-WHO) standards. Twelve suburban farms in Da Nang have already been certified for safety and quality.

A significant investment in the agricultural sector comes from the Việt Nam Dairy Products Joint-Stock Company (Vinamilk), which has invested $26.5 million in a dairy farm on 124ha in Hòa Vang commune.

The director of the CMA Vua Tỏi Herbal company is Nguyễn Văn Định. This project is part of Vietnam's ongoing efforts to promote agricultural processing industries and boost local economic development and tourism. However, specific details about these factories in Da Nang cannot be confirmed without updated sources. For more information, it is recommended to consult official Vietnamese government investment announcements, Da Nang's local government publications, or industry news portals focusing on agricultural manufacturing and tourism development in Vietnam.
