Industrial establishments ceased operations in a massive Fahaheel safety clampdown, affecting 53 facilities.

In a joint effort to enforce public safety regulations and ensure fire prevention compliance, the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) and multiple government bodies have launched a comprehensive inspection campaign in the Fahaheel Industrial Area.

The operation, announced on Wednesday, resulted in the administrative closure of 53 industrial establishments and shops that were found to be in serious violation of fire safety and regulatory requirements. Additionally, 120 notices and warnings were issued to other facilities in the area that were found partly non-compliant.

The ministries of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy; Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for Industry, the Environment Public Authority, and the Kuwait Municipality all participated in the operation. The Fahaheel Industrial Area remains a focus of the large-scale campaign.

The authorities have not disclosed the details of future campaigns or their locations, but they emphasized their commitment to conducting similar operations across Kuwait's industrial and commercial areas. The goal of these campaigns is to protect public safety, safeguard workers, and ensure fire prevention and operational standards are met by all businesses in Kuwait.

The notices and warnings urged establishments to address deficiencies and comply with safety standards. The campaign targeted facilities and shops that failed to comply with fire safety and regulatory requirements, but the authorities did not specify the nature of the deficiencies or the specific regulations that were not followed.

The authorities also reiterated that future penalties may be imposed on non-compliant establishments. They encourage the public to follow updates on their website, Instagram, and Facebook for the latest news on these campaigns. Similar inspection campaigns are also taking place in other industrial areas like Shuwaikh, although the specific figures and locations differ.

This campaign is part of continuing efforts to enforce public safety regulations and ensure fire prevention compliance across industrial zones in Kuwait. The KFF and the participating government bodies will continue their vigilance to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
